If you build it, they will come.

This project was conceived by Jim Carwardine and Tim McGee

A visionary Business Designer presenting Own Your Future - business design and life coaching for people in transition.

Jim Carwardine, with over 10,000 hours in business design / training, and community development, has been working with the Black Business Initiative of Nova Scotia to help each black-owned business to hire one more person. He then expanded this to include all rural communities who were experiencing declining population and linited job prospects.

Support for this project was supplied by Tim McGee with over 10,000 hours in Computer Sales and Marketing, in travelling throughout Nova Scotia he had experienced the same observations and had come to the same conclusions, that small towns and villages were declining in population.

They decided to team up and create a plan that would reverse the trend of older people and younger people leaving the smaller communities in search of a better life in the big cities. The solution that they came up with was twofold. They would create profitable small assembly businesses that would make desirable products and survive for many, many years.

These businesses would include an Executive Committee of local residents to guide the businesses in supporting local sporting and cultural activities to make living there a more interesting and attractive activity.

Many other people have provided their advice and guidance to this project and we will thank them personally.
